An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Personal Assistant to provide support to a lady who needs emotional and practical help at home and within the community.
This lady does not require any personal care but may need prompting. Her needs are variable and subject to her daily health and well-being. Help with cooking, cleaning, and shopping is required, as is support to access the local community including going for walks and coffee.
We are looking for someone who is respectful of this lady’s independence and who is prepared to work together with her. Ideally, the successful candidate will have a positive attitude, be sociable, and enjoy going for walks.
Previous experience working with mental health and autism is desirable but not essential. You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A driver with a full clean license is needed as some transport support will be required.
This is a part-time position for up to 10 hours per week with an hourly rate of £12.30. Mileage is not paid but this is reflected in the hourly rate.
5.6 weeks paid annual leave and a workplace pension scheme are provided.
