Job Description
Permanent contract | £22,299 to £23,768 per annum (Scale E) | 32.25 hours per week | Office base – Elizabeth House, Dereham. Working in Poringland areas, Wymondham and Watton
Working pattern over two weeks including weekends and bank holidays.
Could you give people their confidence back and support our community? If so, we’d love to hear from you - even if you haven’t considered working in Social Care before.
Here at Norfolk First Response we work with a reablement ethos, working alongside people in their homes to make a positive difference. We aim to help them regain their previous abilities within 6 weeks following a period of ill health or change in circumstances and our Support Workers (Reablement) are a key part of that.
The vacant post is 32.25 hours per week, working in the Poringham, Wymondham and Watton areas. You will work a range of mornings (7.30am to 1.30pm) and evenings (4pm to 8.30pm) with the hours averaged out over a two-week rota, enabling you to plan in advance to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
You need to be caring, empathetic and committed to making a difference to people’s lives with the ability to easily commute to people’s homes in North Norfolk so will need a full driving licence and access to a vehicle. However, you do not need previous experience as full training will be given.
In return, we offer a competitive salary, a range of employee benefits (including discounts on daily purchases) and:
* Time and a third for the weekend hours you work
* Paid time for travelling between carefully planned visits
* Paid business mileage
* Paid training time
* Support gaining your Care Certificate
* A work laptop and mobile phone
* A free DBS check
* Free uniform
* An office base in your area so you can meet with colleagues or your line manager when needed
