We are currently seeking a team of Installation Technicians to support our Engineering team with on-site installations. As an Installation Technician at Park Signalling, you will play a vital role in ensuring successful technical installation while performing on-site installation for cutting-edge companies like Park Signalling (PSL), Instrumentel, Metlase, and Comms Design (CDL). You will assist with unique and exciting engineering activities such as fitments and repairs on high-speed trains. Whether working as part of a team or independently, you will engage with customers in a customer-facing role, delivering results that exceed their expectations.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
1. Carrying out site surveys
2. Preparing all installation equipment, materials, and tools prior to installation date
3. Planning installation timeline and escalation points
4. Representing UTG throughout the course of the installation
5. Preparing all maintenance equipment, materials, and tools prior to maintenance date
6. Planning maintenance timelines and escalation points
7. Completing the required documentation and reports relating to jobs carried out
8. Creating site survey reports and site visit reports, ensuring these are circulated to customers both internally and externally
9. Keeping a full log of all documentation in line with GDPR and project requirements
10. Building a library of case studies to be circulated internally
11. Building a library of SOPs for certain systems to be circulated internally
12. Contributing to team projects and system builds
13. Supporting the building and testing of system equipment
14. Taking direction from the Lead Installation Engineer
Candidates will be qualified to a minimum of HNC level in Mechanical, Electrical, or Installation Engineering and be able to demonstrate prior experience in an installation role. Candidates must also hold a full UK driving license due to the travel involved in the role.

10. Ability to conduct visual risk assessments
