Key Responsibilities:
1. Supplier Negotiation & Management: Take charge of supplier negotiations, ensuring the best trading terms and continuous product availability. Use your experience to review suppliers and introduce new sources to meet category needs.
2. Category Ownership: Deliver and maintain a distinct point of difference across your category, ensuring the products are in line with customer demand and business goals.
3. Documentation & Administration: Oversee all admin and documentation related to suppliers, product sourcing, and negotiations to maintain smooth operations.
4. Autonomy & Leadership: Enjoy the freedom to manage your category with a high level of autonomy, making decisions that impact the business directly, similar to owning your own business.
5. Food Retail Experience: If you have experience working in food retail, especially within a complex, dynamic food environment, your knowledge will be key in ensuring supply continuity and driving category success.
Experience:
Experience working across food retail.
Strong experience in supplier management, product sourcing, and negotiating trading terms.
Ability to maintain product availability while delivering a unique category offering to the market.
A background in navigating a constantly changing and fast-paced retail food environment.
