As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising students during lessons, ensuring they stay on task with pre-prepared work in the absence of their regular teachers. Key Responsibilities: Supervising students in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring they remain engaged and on-task. Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive, focused learning environment. Delivering pre-prepared lessons or activities across various subjects. Providing support to students, helping them with their work and maintaining a productive atmosphere. Ensuring students follow the school's rules and safeguarding policies. Reporting back to the regular teacher or school leadership on student progress and behaviour. What We’re Looking For: Previous experience working with young people, preferably in a classroom or educational setting (but not essential). A strong desire to support students’ learning and development. Excellent communication and classroom management skills. Flexibility and the ability to adapt quickly to different environments and subject areas. An interest in pursuing a career in teaching or education. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. No formal teaching qualification is required, but relevant experience in education or a related field is beneficial.
