Deputy Manager
Location: Denbighshire, Conwy
Salary: £33,000 per annum

The Role
They are currently recruiting a Deputy Manager to work within their Residential Service in the Conwy / Denbighshire area. Your role will be to directly support the Home Manager to provide high quality care and support of people in keeping with the vision and values of the Organisation. They cater to adults aged 16-64 with a range of complex needs, including learning disabilities, challenging behaviour, autism, and mental health needs.
The Deputy Manager will hold an active role in providing strong management and leadership of the staff teams within their residential services. They support people to achieve the best quality of life possible. Deputy Managers will hold an active responsibility in supporting people within their care to feel safe, to feel well cared for and be at the centre of decision making about their lives wherever possible. Deputy Managers will act as positive role models for all staff, passionately advocating for the needs of people supported in keeping with values of the organisation. Deputy Managers will actively and competently deputise for the Home Manager when required to do so ensuring that the home is effective in delivering upon the Organisational 'Vision' for the people supported.
Skills and Qualifications
1. Have 2 years + previous experience of personally providing support to individuals and managing staff teams providing support for adults with learning disabilities and mental health issues.
2. Provide an out of hours emergency service on a rota basis via on call system.
3. Have a working knowledge of the Active Support Model.
4. Will be passionate about the care and achieving positive outcomes for adults with complex needs and hold a thorough understanding of the challenges that this client group can present.
5. QCF Level 3 - Health and Social Care (or working towards).
6. Social Care Wales Registration.
7. Able to obtain a satisfactory enhanced DBS.
