An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated, experienced Registered Nurse with relevant post registration background in complex colorectal conditions, with a keen interest in caring for patients with colorectal cancer to join our established Colorectal Nursing Team, striving to deliver a high quality service alongside the wider Colorectal Cancer MDT.
The post holder will join an existing team of Clinical Nurse Specialists alongside a Navigator, offering specialist advice to patients’ and their carers’ throughout their in- patient journey, alongside supporting and advising other health care professionals.
The candidate should, demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be self-driven and also be able to work as part of a busy team. You will be an integral part of the Colorectal MDT and undertake a supportive role to patient pathways.
The post holder will act as the key worker for patients with a colorectal cancer diagnosis and to support patients and relatives during this process.
To act as specialist resource for all professionals involved in the care of patients with colorectal cancer.
Contribute to meaningful MDT discussions.
Maintain up to date data collection to allow audit of service.
Share band 7 managerial responsibilities with other post holders.
