Purpose of the Technical Claims Manager Zego’s Claims department is expanding, and we’re on the hunt for a highly skilled Technical Claims Manager to elevate our standards of technical excellence. In this pivotal role, as a Technical Claims Manager, you’ll drive excellence, quality, and innovation. you will lead the performance of our Quality Assurance Framework, ensuring best-in-class auditing of both our internal claims team and external providers. Your expertise will ensure that every aspect of our claims handling—from technical precision to customer experience—meets and exceeds industry-leading standards. We’re looking for an analytical and detail-oriented claims expert with a strong technical background in motor claims. You must have hands-on experience in handling and/or auditing motor claims end-to-end, from First Notification of Loss (FNOL) to third-party damage, hire, injury, and litigation. Develop and refine best-practice documentation, keeping our teams equipped with cutting-edge claims strategies. Monitor, analyze, and report on claims initiatives, identifying opportunities to optimize efficiency and drive performance improvements. Collaborate cross-functionally with experts across Fraud, Data, Product Management, Engineering, Actuarial, Reserving, and Sales to enhance our claims strategy. Represent Zego in supplier and client meetings, building strong external relationships and ensuring alignment with our quality and service expectations. Train, mentor, and develop our claims team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence. Shape the future of claims processing, influencing system development, enhancing automation capabilities, and driving innovation. Champion claims data quality and completeness, working closely with our Data and Product teams to ensure data is accurate, accessible, and actionable across all internal systems. What you will need to be successful Proven track record of hands-on motor claims experience within an insurance company, ideally within an Insurtech or Motor Insurance provider where innovation meets efficiency. Deep expertise in the UK insurance market, with a clear understanding of how high-quality, high-volume data can transform the customer experience. A natural leader, confident in your ideas but adaptable to change, thriving in a fast-paced and evolving environment. A data-driven relationship builder, able to foster strong partnerships with third parties and drive value through insights. A commercially minded problem solver, excited by the challenge of shaping claims strategies within a high-growth, ambitious business.
