Our Data & Analytics team is growing This exciting new role will provide essential support in developing Advanced Analytics (AA) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions that inform and support business decisions. As a Junior Data Scientist, you’ll: Become an integral and valued part of our growing team of data scientists and analytics engineers, with a focus on collaboration and new capability development. Learn how to apply your growing AI and analytics skills to directly tackle business need. Becoming adept at choosing the appropriate approaches to meet the required quality of output and delivery objectives. Create and contribute towards new analytics and AI capabilities that support the team and wider organisational data strategy, delivering positive business impact that benefit our members and customers. Work within and gain understanding of appropriate data and AI governance practices (including data ethics). Skills and experience we think you’ll need to be successful: Hands on experience of developing ML and analytics solutions whether in an academic or business context. A relevant degree (e.g. Computer Science, Data Science) or equivalent commercial experience working with developing data solutions or products. Competent in using Python and associated libraries, e.g. Pandas and Numpy, for data analysis. Confident explaining data science concepts and technologies, whilst keen to engage and become part of cross functional delivery teams. Additional (desirable) skills & experience that we would welcome to our team: Experience working with Agile methodologies in a dynamic environment. Knowledge of other relevant enabling technologies: APIs ; Cloud computing, SQL and LLMs. General insurance and/or automotive technology and product knowledge.
