About Us
With more than 440 small animal practices across the country, of all shapes and sizes, Vets for Pets is one of the largest UK veterinary groups and offers Veterinary Surgeons a range of opportunities, including the opportunity to run your own practice. However, what really makes Vets for Pets a unique opportunity is that it is run locally, providing our local teams the time and opportunity to support their local community. This means you can join a team that can support your individual needs while offering you a bespoke introduction to the practice, local community and caring for our patients!
The practice is purpose-built with great facilities including an operating theatre, 3 dedicated consult rooms, a large prep area, an x-ray room, and an isolation block with separate cat and dog kennels.
You will be joining a very supportive and stable team of 3 vets, who are supported by 4 RVNs, 2 SVNs, 1 PM, and 4 Receptionists.
We are a training practice and have a varied workload, performing a full range of orthopaedic and soft tissue surgeries. We are also happy to support all staff members with opportunities for further development once qualified.
The Role:
This position is ideally for a part-time, experienced veterinary surgeon. The role would be for Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays per week, with 1 in 3 Saturday mornings. There is no OOH or Sunday work.
However, we appreciate that this might not suit everyone, so if you are looking for different hours, please do still get in touch and we can see if we can accommodate you.
We are ideally looking for someone who is a good all-rounder and is confident in surgery.
Benefits include:
* Very competitive salary paying up to £60,000 (DOE, FTE)
* 5.6 weeks paid holiday not including bank holidays
* Additional week's holiday after 2 years' service
* CPD and certificates highly encouraged and supported
* Birthday leave

Pets just see people. They aren't biased and they don't discriminate. We take our inspiration from pets, and we value and respect difference in all its forms. Our aim is to reflect the diversity of the communities we operate in, and every colleague can help us achieve this. We encourage our people to be themselves, so even if your skills and experience don't perfectly align, if you think you can make a unique contribution through your values and behaviours, we want to hear from you! #J-18808-Ljbffr
