Your role as an Assistant Procurement Manager will be integral to the success of this ambitious venture. Join our team as an Assistant Procurement Manager and work closely with the Procurement Manager to ensure that all key products and services are sourced safely, sustainably, and in alignment with our business and project plans. In this role, you will oversee procurement operations, manage supplier relationships, and optimise team performance to deliver measurable value to the organisation. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement policies with organisational goals, ensure compliance with industry standards, and develop innovative strategies for cost savings and lifecycle value generation. Your responsibilities will include leading procurement processes, managing contracts, and mitigating supply chain risks. You will play a pivotal role in supplier evaluation, negotiation, and maintaining the Approved Vendor List (AVL). Additionally, you will manage the procurement of specialised products, including paint consumables and coating equipment, while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. We are looking for a motivated professional with proven procurement experience in energy, renewable energy, steel, fabrication, or construction management sectors. A strong understanding of procurement principles, industry regulations, and legal requirements is essential, along with excellent negotiation skills and commercial awareness. Ideally, you will hold a degree in a relevant field and a CIPS qualification. You will have exceptional communication skills, solid vendor networking expertise, and the ability to develop and maintain robust supplier relationships. Your proficiency in using data to inform procurement decisions and your ability to drive cost-saving initiatives will make you an invaluable member of our team.
