Cycle to Work Scheme Royal Birmingham Conservatoire’s Events Team support the planning and delivery of over 300 concerts and events a year, ranging from small recitals through to conferences for hundreds of delegates. Working with internal partners and stakeholders to external organisations and businesses across a range of sectors. We are looking to recruit an outstanding Events and Administrative Officer to join our passionate team of professionals. As part of this role, you will oversee the planning, set-up and delivery of each event, liaising closely with artists, tour promoters and external hirers as appropriate. You will provide clear briefings prior to the events and ensure that all aspects are produced to the highest possible standard and that resources are deployed in the most effective manner. You are required to be educated to degree or diploma level, in event management or similar. You will also have demonstrable experience of Event Planning, using Event Management/Room Booking systems and some business development and account handling experience. You will have excellent communication and organisational skills. Essential Requirements A professional qualification in hospitality, catering, event management or a related discipline. Customer-focused with strong service skills and a dedication to meeting client needs. Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks and communications. Proven ability to work collaboratively in diverse and inclusive environments, with a commitment to reflective practice, open communication, and constructive feedback. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships and maintaining contacts with people from diverse backgrounds, tailoring messages to different target audiences and selecting the most effective communication methods. Highly proficient in digital literacy, including word processing, spreadsheets, and various communication tools.
