The postholder will be expected to work all shifts, over a 7-day period, working early and late shifts.
The post is within HMP Birmingham, which is a male prison. You will be required to support the registered nurses delivering primary healthcare to the prison population.

The postholder will work as part of an integrated team under the supervision of the management team within Primary Care. They will be accountable for the delivery of care to the population of the prison and will rotate onto the Inpatient Ward (Ward 1), Reception and Primary Care.
They will carry out assigned tasks involving direct care, under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
Additional Responsibilities:
1. Supporting new and less experienced staff.
2. Maintaining an awareness of budgetary constraints and using resources effectively.
3. Conduct the monthly stock take, ordering and stock rotation.
