We are looking for a HEAD HOUSEKEEPER be part of the lovely team at our exceptional new 4Silver Star 2 AA Crowne Plaza Reading East( M4 Jct 10), Wharfedale Road, Winnersh Triangle, Wokingham RG41 5TS
Located adjacent to the Winnersh Triangle station, and within very close proximity of Reading and Wokingham, the hotel consists of 174 bedrooms with 8 conference suites for up to 180 in the largest suite, 2 AA Caprice Fine Dining Restaurant & Terrace, Monty's Lounge bar and Esprit Fitness and Spa
We are seeking an experiencedHead Housekeeperwhose primary role isto ensure that the Housekeeping Office/ Linen Roomsand the Guest Bedroom Floors are well co-ordinated and supervised. You will be required to ensuring that the Housekeeping Department delivers prompt, efficient and courteous service to our Guests, Employees, Managers and Suppliers.
The Head Housekeeper should be compliant with Health and Safety Legislation and Coshh Regulations, whilst maintaining high standards and ensuring that the Housekeeping Department delivers its daily demands of high quality expected from the Intercontinental Hotels Group Brand Standards.
The role includes working shifts in line with business demands generally from 07.00- 16.00 week days and 08.00 17.00 weekends, five days per week including weekends
The entire team are long term employees of the hotel ( no agency)
You will be expected to perform both independently and proactively to lead and motivate the Housekeeping team.
Maintain and Monitor staff levels
Develop staff
Train staff to ensure they deliver consistent high standards
Source and procure new and workable procedures
Liaise with external suppliers
Handle both Guest and Staff Issues
Conduct and record quality checks on bedrooms and public areas
Audit staff levels and complete rotas
Manage holiday schedules and work flexible shifts
Communicate effectively with staff in the department and other affiliated departments, management and guests
Communicate department performance issues and methods of improving service whilst reducing cost to the business
Deliver prompt follow through on all request
Maintain and manage chemicals ensuring they are compliant with Health and Safety Regulations
Previous experience as a Head Housekeeper or an Assistant Head Housekeeper in a branded property preferred.
You should be confident to speak to Guests, Management and the housekeeping team, whilst also possessing good communication skills
Ideal candidates should have previous experience in a high volume, high quality hospitality environment workinghands on
Candidates with a stable employment background and positive references will be preferred.
Start date as soon as possible
Previous experience with Opera PMS will be an advantage
