WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US Reporting to the Group Product Manager of Investment Operations & Reporting, your primary responsibility is to prioritise and drive the activities that deliver new capabilities and services within SimCorp’s Client Reporting solution, CORIC. Ensuring they deliver optimal value aligned with product strategy, roadmap, and outcomes. WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR A Product Owner (PO) is a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and acts as such within the product management line. They are responsible for roadmaps, new ideas, new market segments, and new offerings within their subject area and are expected to think outside the box. Scoping, prioritization, capacity allocation within their area are all part of the PO role, and ensuring compliance with the overall product management strategy through collaboration with other roles is essential. POs are an essential member of the product management team and share in the leadership responsibilities of the product line. POs deliver to clients and own the client interaction needed to ensure successful client outcomes. Estimation, refinement, and managing client commitments are all part of the PO role, along with ensuring delivery quality and commitment profitability. POs work with features from end to end and have ultimate say in how and when they are delivered. The product offer line succeeds due to the collaboration of product managers (PMs) and POs. They share the responsibility for managing the product deliveries in their product line. POs are consulted about pricing definition and negotiation issues. POs lead the integration in global standards: standard platform and release notes. Team-facing tasks & responsibilities: Support the communication of the strategy and roadmap within the Client Reporting (CORIC) area, ensuring product goals and vision are effectively conveyed to teams and clients. Creating features, user story mapping, requirements validation, defining acceptance criteria. Ensuring backlog integrity. Prioritisation of features in the backlog. Supporting the scrum team during refinement and implementation. Feature acceptance. Documentation approval. Maximize output from team allocated capacity (e.g., cut/add/change acceptance criteria). Cross-team and product area responsibilities: Contribute to multiple product line strategies and roadmaps with Subject Matter Expertise. Facilitate system demos and involve relevant stakeholders – both internally and externally. Cross-product line backlog management: alignment, prioritization. Managing cross-product line collaboration. External-facing tasks & responsibilities: Define and refine scope with clients. Estimating and managing client commitments/prioritisation of requests. Understanding of client valuable outcomes. Be the primary point of contact with the client for a subject or client commitment. Driving client partnership. Understand the target market space and competitive offerings. Expert understanding of user needs through interaction with client end users. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather market trends. Collaborate with external stakeholders and market events to gather trends. Ensure the integration of features in pre-sales environments. Ensure the integration of features in marketing and web demo portal. Conduct webinars, roundtables, client demos, user conferences. Produce outcome-driven material (one-pagers, Q&As, etc.). WHAT WE VALUE Strong written and verbal communication skills. A strong understanding of client reporting solutions, including CORIC. A good understanding of investment management reporting workflows and data structures, with the aspiration to learn more. Structured and organised way of working, being able to manage and prioritise multiple concurrent initiatives. Good knowledge of SimCorp Dimension processes and flow, Standard Platform, and SIM Model is an advantage. Commercially curious and aware.
