Veterinary Surgeon - Small Animal
Otter Vets - Sidmouth, Sidmouth, South West
Discipline: Small Animal
Full Time, Part Time, Flexible
Salary up to £65,000 DOE FTE
About the Role
We are looking for a Small Veterinary Surgeon to join our dedicated team at Otter Vets. You will be completing 1st opinion work to include small animal consults and surgical caseload, which may include elements of sole charge. There is opportunity available for mentoring junior colleagues.
If your preference is for mixed or small animal/equine work, we would still really like to hear from you as we have flexibility to consider these roles. We are also happy to discuss part-time hours and look at a rota to suit you.
Flexible Shifts
Typically, our full-time Vets work 10 hours across 4 days per week with 1:4 weekends on call. Our weekend rota is from 8.30am-6pm Saturday & Sunday. Work/life balance is important to us, and we are excited to offer a shift pattern that fits around you.
About Us
Our practice has an established history of over 70 years, providing veterinary care to small animal, farm, and equine clients in our local communities. We have two branches, one based in the Jurassic coastal town of Sidmouth and the other in the nearby market town of Ottery St Mary, Devon.
We are proud of the 24-hour service we offer for all our mixed veterinary work. Currently, plans are being worked on to reorganise our two premises which will facilitate further growth and development. There are opportunities to grow within your career, from further training to mentoring others. We are keen to support team progression and would love to discuss your interests and career plans further.
Our Team
Take part in a variety of charity events including running a fun dog show, coffee mornings, and Christmas stalls. You will be joining a supportive team of veterinary, nursing, and administrative colleagues who work across both sites.
