Purpose: This role is accountable for ensuring the process and production teams adhere to compliance standards and for supporting the Site Leader in setting and monitoring the site's budget and KPIs. A key focus is on data collection and trend analysis to foster data-driven decision-making.
Operations/Production:
1. Oversee daily operations to meet or exceed production targets, report results daily, and lead production meetings.
2. Support the Site Leader with budgeting and KPI setting, implementing corrective actions when needed to achieve targets.
3. Monitor KPIs across various areas, ensuring targets are consistently met or exceeded.
4. Coordinate with partners for data transfer, address any issues, and collaborate with technical teams to maintain plant health.
5. Work with engineering to manage installations and troubleshoot issues, maintain logs, and track downtime for effective data-driven decisions.
6. Ensure task completion by operators, analyze operational data for trends, and manage supply chain coordination to maintain necessary feedstock levels.
7. Complete GHub data for the site and provide monthly performance reports covering compliance, quality, yield, costs, and other KPIs, noting risks and opportunities.
8. Manage small projects and assigned action items, plan shutdown periods, and communicate work scopes effectively.
Compliance: Safety, Health, Environment & Quality:
1. Promote a culture of safety by enforcing compliance with safety protocols and supporting company safety initiatives.
2. Maintain and audit Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Risk Assessments to ensure safe work practices.
3. Encourage reporting of unsafe acts and conditions, manage contractor safety on-site, and ensure compliance with environmental standards.
4. Participate in third-party audits as needed.
People Management & Development:
1. Ensure process team members are trained and competent, oversee training for new employees, and maintain training records.
2. Provide resources for the team to work safely, manage team performance, and recognize accomplishments or address improvement areas.
3. Lead team meetings to communicate site performance and requirements.
Continuous Improvement:
1. Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities within systems and processes for areas of responsibility.
Other Responsibilities:
1. Operate the plant during abnormal or emergency situations, assist with maintenance as needed, and manage site administrative tasks.
2. Participate in the on-call structure and support capital expenditure requests with data and documentation.
