Part-Qualified Electrician (New-Build)
Below covers everything you need to know about what this opportunity entails, as well as what is expected from applicants.
Price Work: Circa £600 per week plus holiday pay
Clarkson Evans is the largest electrical and solar installer working in the new build housing sector, wiring over 24,000 homes a year. We directly employ our electricians, providing job security and a structured career path whilst offering the chance to get paid per fix rather than just a set hourly rate. With 2025 set to be a very busy year in the new-build sector, we're looking for people with experience of wiring new homes to join our hard-working teams.
You'll work with one of our qualified Team Leaders and maybe an Apprentice too, completing fixes in line with the build programme on your allocated site. Everyone in the team will be paid according the work completed, with your share of the fix price depending on your skills and experience. As a guide, our top-performing qualified electricians regularly earn more than £1,200 a week and we would expect a highly experienced mate in their team to earn £600 a week. We also offer paid holiday, a company pension scheme and life assurance.
Hours: Typically Monday – Friday, arriving at your branch by 7.00am, on site by 8.00am and finishing when the job is done. Hours will vary according to workloads. Some weekend working may be necessary at busier times of year.
What you will get from us:
* Weekly pay based on the ‘price work' you complete
* 29 days' paid holiday (including bank holidays), all paid at your average earnings
* Company pension contributions
* Life assurance cover
* Uniform including PPE
* Free breakfast at the branch every day
* Materials will be bagged up and ready for the team to collect at your branch each day
Requirements:
* Significant recent experience of wiring new homes on large housing development sites
* City & Guilds 2382 (relevant 17th Edition or 18th Edition)
* Additional electrical qualifications would be desirable
* Full UK manual driving licence
