Senior SEO Strategist
Hybrid working with a minimum of 3 days in the Devon office
Our client is seeking a Senior SEO Strategist to join their expanding Digital Team. This is a full-time position, based at their office in North Devon, with hybrid working available for the right candidate.
The ideal candidate will be a strong writer capable of producing high-quality content and eager to engage in the analytical and problem-solving aspects of SEO. They should understand how their SEO recommendations impact clients' business performance and take a flexible approach to working methods. In collaboration with the Head of Digital, they will develop and execute targeted strategies to improve clients' online visibility. This role is perfect for someone with extensive SEO knowledge who can confidently communicate with various business stakeholders and maintain a keen attention to detail. Applicants should have a minimum of three years of experience in SEO-specific roles.
There is an opportunity for the successful candidate to grow into the Head of SEO role, which is currently vacant.

Main Responsibilities:
- Developing SEO strategies to achieve client objectives, including:
- On-page SEO optimisation
- Off-page SEO optimisation
- Technical SEO optimisation
- Conducting keyword and competitor research to identify opportunities
- Reporting monthly on work completed and its impact on results and sales
- Attending client meetings to provide additional support and technical explanations when needed
- Providing training and support to upskill the SEO Executive
Essential Skills and Qualities:
- Excellent written English, with the ability to adapt writing styles to cover various topics
- Strong understanding of basic SEO principles, particularly on-page SEO and search intent
- Exceptional attention to detail and a focus on maximizing every opportunity
- Adaptable to shifting priorities and challenges
- Proactive, with the ability to take initiative and suggest new ideas
- Comfortable with technology, including spreadsheets and new software tools
- Curious about SEO trends and the future of search
- A team player who is willing to offer support when needed
Desirable Skills and Qualities:
- At least 3 years of experience in SEO-specific roles
- Experience with content management systems (CMS)
- Proficiency with digital marketing tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Semrush
- Experience working with large data sets in spreadsheets
- Familiarity with project management tools like Asana
- Strong organizational skills to manage tasks and priorities
- Willingness to represent the business and promote its high-quality work
