Senior Consultant – BREEAM Infrastructure and sustainability

Your new role
As our new BREEAM Infrastructure expert, you will join our sustainability and carbon team within the UK Environment and Health business unit. With nearly 250 professionals, we provide services in corporate net zero strategy, science-based targets advisory, carbon data management, energy efficiency, sustainability and climate risk, biodiversity net gain, natural capital, EHS management, impact assessment, health sciences, air quality, and due diligence to diverse clients in various sectors. We have a collaborative and supportive team culture that encourages initiative, teamwork, and continual improvement in all aspects of our work.
Your key responsibilities will be:
* Lead our BREEAM Infrastructure projects, including managing client relationships, project budgets, and team resources across a portfolio of projects within the public and private sectors.
* Work alongside our engineering, building, transport and other teams as required to support client projects.
* Plan, undertake, coordinate, and supervise BREEAM projects.
* Engage in wider sustainability projects including sustainability services, whole life carbon assessments, LCA’s and carbon reporting when time is available and not needed for BREEAM services.
* Support training and knowledge sharing with junior staff and work with other Ramboll teams to integrate sustainability management processes within their disciplines.
About you
We have identified some qualifications, skills, and capabilities that will set you up for success in this role:
* Certified BREEAM Infrastructure Assessor.
* Demonstrable experience of delivering BREEAM Infrastructure Assessor projects.
* Experience of working alongside engineering designers and contractors.
* Ideally wider understanding of sustainability and experience in one or more of the following sustainability skills: whole life carbon assessments, LCAs and Environmental Impact Assessments.
* Strong commercial acumen and ability to effectively present to senior internal and external clients.
* Proficiency in preparing commercially effective proposals, tenders, and deliverables.
* Effective, collaborative, and empowering project management skills to ensure efficient and accurate project delivery, including managing national or international project teams.
* Excellent client and team engagement and relationship building experience.
* Experience of writing and reviewing reports, including contributions to Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) or Strategic Environmental Assessments.
