About the team
The role of the Training & Team Coordinator is to be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of European Rail Traffic Management Systems (ERTMS) training and project activities to facilitate the successful delivery of a training programme to Lumo.
Provision of administrative support to the Project Office Manager, Training Development and Delivery Manager, and liaison between Train Operating Companies and the project team.
About the job
1. Support the Training Development and Delivery Manager in preparation of driver and other role training courses including, but not limited to:
* Support in onboarding process for driver recruits
* Preparation of course handbooks and slideshows
* Coordination of facilities for training courses
* Working alongside the train operating businesses to ensure release of personnel at appropriate times
* Planning and diarising for trainer, instructors, and attendees for the East Coast Digital Programme training course
* Administrative duties associated with training course delivery.
1. Coordinate the training workstream project report, plan, and documentation under the guidance of ERTMS Operations and Training Manager
2. Meeting management (booking, agenda, minutes, tracking actions, supporting team meeting) for East Coast Digital Programme.
3. Support with travel/accommodation bookings for East Coast Digital Programme
4. Support planning, coordination, and communication activities
5. Provide assistance with other activities within the project management team as appropriate on an ad-hoc basis as directed by the East Coast Digital Programme Project Manager
As a minimum, you will need to have:
* Experience of supporting a team/project in an administrative/secretarial position
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* A high level of attention to detail and skill in creating accessible, traceable documentation
* Ability to work on own initiative, self-motivated, and able to set and achieve demanding targets and objectives, and report upon them.
* Experience of working within a training organisation or within a railway environment (not essential)
* Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel, MS PPT, and MS Outlook, in particular)
* Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritise work
About the location
You must be located within a 60-minute commute of Newcastle upon Tyne, as our offices are located behind Newcastle Central Station.
Working pattern
17.5 hours per week, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday on-site.

This is a fixed-term position for 2 years.
