CrossReach is one of Scotland's leading care providers, offering support and services to people in need for over 150 years. As part of the Church of Scotland, we are committed to delivering high-quality care while promoting dignity, respect, and compassion. We are currently seeking a highly organised and proactive Secretary to support our Director of Finance and Resources. This key role is essential to the smooth running of the Finance Department and involves providing a high level of administrative and secretarial support. The role includes managing the Director s schedule by organising meetings and appointments as well as preparing agendas and taking minutes for meetings. You will handle correspondence, emails, and calls on behalf of the Director, ensuring that all communication is managed effectively and professionally. Maintaining accurate and accessible records and documentation will be a crucial part of your responsibilities, along with assisting in the preparation of reports, presentations, and financial materials. As a valued member of the Finance team, you will liaise with internal and external stakeholders and provide administrative support where required. To succeed in this role, you will need proven experience as a secretary or administrative assistant, ideally in a financial or professional services setting. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail are essential, as are strong communication and interpersonal abilities. You should be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively. A proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving is crucial, and an understanding of CrossReach s values and mission is highly desirable. In return, we offer a supportive and inclusive working environment, opportunities for professional growth, and a competitive salary and benefits package. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the success of a mission-driven organisation dedicated to making a difference in the lives of others. This is a part time role based in our Head Office near Portobello, just outside of Edinburgh City Centre. It is for 15 hours a week, ideally over 3 days. We also offer you a range of benefits that you would expect from an organisation that support others. Firstly, there is access to a wide range of exclusive retail and leisure discounts through our rewards scheme and the Blue Light Discount card. We also ensure that your future and that of your loved ones is secured with a generous contributory pension plan and death in service benefit. Balancing work and family are made easier with our suite of enhanced family friendly policies and your health and wellness are prioritised with access to our health cash plan, giving you cash back for a wide range of health treatments. We even have access to a care concierge service to assist you with life's challenges, providing invaluable support when you need it most. But we also know that your training and development is important to you, and as well as a contribution to your professional membership fees, we are keen to support you in making the right steps to learn, grow and develop in ways that are right for you.
