The Role
As a Teacher of Design Technology, your responsibilities will include:
* Planning and delivering engaging and innovative DT lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5.
* Inspiring students to develop their practical and creative skills in line with the curriculum.
* Providing clear and constructive feedback to help students achieve their best in coursework and assessments.
* Supporting students academically and fostering a classroom environment that promotes curiosity and confidence in Design Technology.
* Working closely with colleagues to enhance the DT curriculum and maintain high departmental standards.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal Design Technology Teacher will:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Have a degree in Design Technology or a related subject.
* Be passionate about teaching DT and inspiring students to develop their practical and creative potential.
* Have experience teaching Design Technology at Key Stages 3 and 4 (experience with Key Stage 5 is desirable but not essential).
* Demonstrate a commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and dynamic learning environment.
