Coastline are excited to be advertising the new role of Payroll Manager to join our friendly and experienced Finance team on a permanent basis. Reporting into the Head of Finance, the successful candidate will be managing and processing the monthly payroll and administering the pension scheme for over 300 employees. This is a 30 hour per week contract to be worked flexibly across the month. Coastline are a flexible, supportive employer with a range of working patterns and attractive benefits for colleagues. There will also be a need for the successful candidate to provide some flexibility around monthly activities, so you may be required to work two slightly longer weeks and two shorter ones across the month.

Does this sound like you?
On a day to day basis you’ll be responsible for:
Management and processing the timely and accurate submission of monthly payrolls;
Ensuring integrity and accuracy of SAGE payroll interface with the Financial Ledger;
Preparing monthly payroll reports for the Management Accounts;
Reviewing and signing off payroll cycles;
Handling payroll queries;
Performing manual tax and NIC calculations;
Maintaining compliance with company and regulatory requirements;
Staying up to date with UK payroll legislation and ensure compliance;
UK payroll processing for hourly and salaried staff;
Processing payroll end-to-end.
To do this you’ll be expected to have strong attention to detail and problem solving skills, good working knowledge of Microsoft packages, particularly Excel and Word and a sound understanding of UK Tax, NIC and Pension Auto-enrolment.
