Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Cancer Care Co-ordinator, who is highly motivated with excellent communication skills, to join the Head & Neck (H&N) Team. The H&N team comprises of Dietitians, Speech & Language Therapists (SLT) and Clinical Nurses Specialists (CNS). The postholder will enable and assist the H&N team in delivering high standards of care to all patients with a Head & Neck cancer diagnosis. They will provide support and information to patients and families throughout their cancer pathway. The post holder will be working with pre and post treatment oncology and surgical patients, including laryngectomy. The post requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, including an ability to deal with distressing/sensitive information in a calm and confident manner. The ability to organise and work to deadlines, ensuring quality standards is essential as well as the ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team. Main duties of the job The H&N Cancer Care Co-Ordinator will work with the H&N team to ensure the delivery of high quality, patient centred care within the Mid Yorkshire Teaching Trust for patients who have had a diagnosis of Head & Neck Cancer.
