About Our Home:

From the inviting hum of our open-plan communal spaces to the serene beauty of our landscaped gardens, every corner of Broxbourne is crafted for joy. Whether it’s a movie in our cinema, a workout in the gym, or a quiet moment in the lounge, here, every resident finds their own slice of home. At Broxbourne, we don’t just offer care; we curate experiences.
Responsibilities:
1. Maintaining the building and equipment.
2. Conduct routine checks weekly, monthly, and annually on systems in the home and ensure that external checks are carried out within the agreed timeframe – e.g., LOLER testing.
3. Monitor and respond to the fire alarm call, boilers, and lift.
4. Make effective and efficient use of resources in any maintenance or repair.
5. Conduct banking and purchase of small items for the home.
6. Maintain the building, grounds, and equipment to ensure the safety of residents, staff, and visitors to the home, including decoration and repair, minor plumbing works, and maintaining the garden areas.
7. Maintain good communication and relationships with other teams and colleagues at the home.
8. Maintain awareness of the home’s policies and procedures, especially the Fire Policy.
9. Participate in training and development as an individual and as part of the team.
10. Get involved in the induction of new staff by training them on the building layout and fire policies and procedures.
11. Maintain client and business confidentiality at all times.
12. Control and order stock and accept and check deliveries.
13. Maintain an awareness of the Health and Safety requirements.
14. Observe and maintain high levels of communication within the teams of staff, individual colleagues, and residents.
15. Carry out any additional duties as requested.
16. Undertake any additional training and development programmes the home may consider appropriate to enhance your contribution to the work at this home.
17. Review on a regular basis the job description for your post and agree on any changes.
