We are now on the look out for an experienced Chef to join an established team in Kettering, Northamptonshire:
Role: Kitchen Porter, Full Time
5 out of 7 days per week – usually Sunday and Monday off
2x days per week (Apply online only) & 3x days per week at events
Working alongside (up to) 12 kitchen staff including highly experienced Chefs
Event prep in a commercial kitchen
Loading and securing food prep into company vehicles, there will be some heavy lifting
Potentially driving company vehicles to delivery produce to event venues
Regions are Northants, Beds, Bucks and Cambs
Salary c.£30k-£35k per annum DOE + overtime + benefits
Required:
Minimum 6 months Commis Chef / Demi Chef De Partie experience
A steady career history with evidence including CV and references
Speed and efficiency to work in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility and adaptability to work part of a team and on own initiative
Healthy & Safety, Food Hygiene, Food Safety knowledge
Punctuality, professionalism and presentable
UK Right to Work + clear written and verbal English
UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle
Own Chef whites and knives
Desirable:
High volume – high quality background within a kitchen environment
Fine dining, hotel, events catering, private school catering, wedding catering experience
Ability to work overtime when the business requires
In date food hygiene or food safety qualification level 2
Enhanced DBS clearance
