Hobbits Holt is a 24/7 residential care facility providing support to 6 individuals.
This role consists of 30 hours on the floor and 7.5 hours supernumerary, which will involve evenings and weekends.
As a Deputy Manager, you will be confident enough to make autonomous decisions while being collaborative enough to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team. You should ideally have significant previous Deputy Manager experience and demonstrate true commitment to both your personal development and the development of your wider team.
You will be caring, professional, possess a strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to build solid working relationships.
To be a Deputy Manager, you must be flexible and have experience in leading a team, as well as demonstrate experiences and knowledge of supporting people in a proactive, person-centered way. You will need the experience and confidence to deal with individuals with Mental Health challenges and non-verbal individuals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support the Home Manager in ensuring that the home is maintained in accordance with regulatory bodies.
2. Line manage the senior team to ensure high standards of care and service are achieved within the home to regulatory standards.
3. Support the Home Manager in managing resources to ensure sales and profits are maximized.
4. Support residents to live as independently as possible, including personal care.
5. Act as a senior member of staff on shift and be confident in supporting our residents and staff team.
6. Build and maintain lasting relationships with residents and their families.
7. Take residents out and about – walking, local cafes, lunch clubs, coffee mornings, singing groups, outdoor parks, and gardens.
8. Drivers are encouraged to go further afield for longer day trips and events.
9. Contribute to the on-call rota and a varied shift pattern.
10. Work with a great team.
