About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join an exceptional SEN school located in Liverpool. This role is ideal for a teacher experienced in supporting students with complex learning needs who thrives in a highly supportive and collaborative environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a highly individualized curriculum, focused on sensory and therapeutic learning, to students with profound and multiple learning disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons tailored to the specific needs of students with PMLD, incorporating sensory-based and therapeutic activities.
* Create and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the SENCO, support staff, therapists, and parents.
* Support students with a range of complex needs, including physical disabilities, sensory impairments, and severe communication challenges.
* Utilize various communication methods, such as Makaton, PECS, and sensory story-telling, to engage students and promote participation.
* Assist with personal care tasks as required, working closely with teaching assistants to ensure students’ physical and emotional well-being.
* Regularly assess student progress and adjust teaching approaches, ensuring each child receives individualized support and achieves measurable growth.
