ALN Teaching Assistant
Salary: £83.85 per day
Location: Milton Keynes
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday (no weekends)

Teaching Personnel are looking for an ALN Teaching Assistant to work in one of our partner schools in the Milton Keynes area. The school is a secondary school that has a centre that specialises in supporting autistic children. The school provides excellent levels of support to their pupils and creates a safe and nurturing environment for them to thrive in.
Responsibilities of an ALN Teaching Assistant
* Supervise and provide support for pupils with additional learning needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
* Establish positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
* Promote the inclusion and acceptance of pupils.
* Encourage pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher.
* Promote self-esteem and independence.
* Use strategies, in liaison with the teacher, to support pupils to achieve learning goals.
* Provide detailed and regular feedback to the teacher on pupils’ progress.
* Assist with the supervision of pupils out of lesson times, including before and after school and at lunchtime.
Ideal ALN Teaching Assistants will have:
* Experience supporting children with learning difficulties.
* Experience supporting and de-escalating challenging behaviour.
* Confidence, organisation, and a passion for getting the best out of pupils.
