Financial Controller Bolton Distribution Sector My client, an exciting PE Backed Distribution business based in Bolton is looking to hire their next Financial Controller. As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for leading the preparation of monthly management accounts, driving KPI and cash flow management, and overseeing the budgeting and forecasting processes. Your experience of managing a small finance team will be instrumental in ensuring efficient and accurate financial operations. Standout Highlights: Manage a team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment Spearhead the year-end procedures, including liaising with auditors and preparing statutory accounts for group entities Serve as a trusted financial advisor, providing ad-hoc reporting and presenting to the Finance Director Preferred Requirements: Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts, KPI, cash flows, budgeting, and forecasting Manage cash and working capital, ensuring efficient financial processes and controls Oversee the month-end payroll process and control all elements of site finance Liaise and collaborate with key stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and other departments/the board Drive continuous improvements in processing efficiency to benefit working capital Preferred Qualifications: Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA) with a strong track record in financial management Proven experience in a similar Financial Controller role, preferably within a small to medium-sized organisation Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information to diverse stakeholders
