Assist the Overseas Lead in promoting awareness of statutory overseas obligations within the Trust in order to identify those not entitled to free NHS care. Collect key metrics to accurately assess the Trusts performance recovering payments from EU, EFTA & non-EU visitors & migrants. Assist with improving the efficiency of the system overall. Be able to adapt own working to take account of and be responsive to the needs of a changing service. Be able to explain clearly and confidently to patients their financial undertaking and collect payments as required. The ability to raise invoices; where appropriate collect payment in advance of treatment. Ensure the accuracy of billing details. Under the guidance of the Overseas Lead follow up unpaid accounts with debtors. Demonstrate own activities to new or less experienced employees. Competent with IT skills. Assist with business administration including data input. Assist with developing and providing access to patient / staff information leaflets & guides. Adhere to the Trusts governance frameworks. Contribute positively to the effectiveness, safety and efficiency of the teams within which they work.
