Job Summary:
CCRI’s Department of Chemistry invites applicants for future adjunct positions. This posting is not for an immediate vacancy but for upcoming opportunities. By applying, you will be placed in a pool of candidates who will be reviewed when a suitable position becomes available.
SUBJECTS:
* Introductory chemistry
* General chemistry
* Organic chemistry
* Chemical technology
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Teach lectures in various chemistry courses including introductory chemistry, general chemistry, organic chemistry, and/or chemical technology.
* Lectures will typically be in-person at the Warwick, Lincoln, Newport, or Providence campus although there may be opportunities for distance learning lectures.
* Teach laboratory sections of introductory chemistry, general chemistry, organic chemistry, and/or chemical technology and maintain a safe laboratory environment for students and staff.
* Grade applicable class and lab work.
* Use Blackboard Learning Management System to upload work and grades for class.
* Optionally participate in departmental and college-wide meetings.

* Use advanced technologies to expand student resources and learning opportunities.
* Assess student learning according to best practices in measurement of student performance objectives and outcomes.
* Demonstrate creativity and flexibility in pedagogical approaches to a diverse population of students and peers.
