Harrogate Community Learning Disability Team provides services across Harrogate and district areas. The team is based in Knaresborough and comprises of Nursing, Psychiatry, Psychology, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech and Language Therapy staff.
The team work collectively and collaboratively with others to ensure a high standard of care is provided and are always willing to go above and beyond what is expected when required.
The teamwork in partnership with key partners to ensure people with a diagnosed learning disability and their families and carer and supported by delivering high quality clinical care.
The service runs between 09:00 and 17:00 Monday-Friday.
This post is only open to those candidates who already have their NMC registration in place and have successfully completed the preceptorship programme. Please note: Newly qualified applicants or those due to qualify will be recruited via a separate process.
Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity to join a highly experienced multi-disciplinary team within the Harrogate locality supporting people with Learning Disabilities to achieve a high quality of life and positive health outcomes.
The successful candidate will hold and manage a case load, working collaboratively with service users, their families, carers and partner agencies.
The post holder will require excellent communication skills and be calm, confident and resilient in your approach, and will need to be able to form therapeutic relationships. The post holder should be flexible, adaptable and be able to travel independently during the course of their duties, with the geographical area having limited public transport options.

* To be recognised practice assessor / mentor or work towards in an agreed timescale

* Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
