30 Hours Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist: Acute Lead to work within the North Devon Adult Speech and Language Therapy Service.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 12 month fixed term basis maternity leave cover for a Speech and Language therapist Acute Team Lead, North Devon District Hospital.
Main duties of the job
As a key member of the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, you will be joining an exceptional team working together to help our patients to stay healthy, when they need it most.
Job responsibilities
The successful candidate will provide team leadership and service delivery for SLT services to the medical and surgical wards, including ICU, respiratory and care of the elderly. You will also provide service delivery for inpatient and outpatient FEES and videofluoroscopy clinics.
Working with a supportive leadership team, you will be key in service development and enjoy the fast-paced environment of an acute setting, including training staff in instrumental assessment, dysphagia and tracheostomy competencies.
In addition to the acute medical/surgical setting, our wider integrated service provides support for stroke/neuro acute and rehabilitation, community rehabilitation, voice and head and neck outpatient services.
Working Pattern: 30 hours per week. 8:30 to 16:30

This is a fixed term contract for 12 months. For current NHS employees, this post could be a secondment opportunity.
