Job Description
As supervisor you will have a passion to deliver exceptional customer service & build relationships with regular and new guests. Developing excellent product knowledge to make menu and drink recommendations that delight our customers and take a leading role in the training and supervision of the team. With an eye for detail you will work closely with all departments and be responsible for the running of a shift safely & effectively accountable for all aspects of the hotel including restaurant, bar & accommodation.
The responsibility.
* Supervise and manage the food & beverage team
* Working with the team to ensure that all service areas are delivering exceptional service which is prompt, professional and friendly
* Ensure compliance with licensing & food safety laws
* Understand & implement the challenge 25 & responsible drinking policies of the hotel and be able to offer guidance to guests on menu choices to accommodate any allergies or intolerances.
* Monitor customer satisfaction & take appropriate action
* Complete check backs and be aware of customer feedback to the team, ensuring that any potential complaints are handled quickly and to the customers satisfaction.
* Oversee daily operations to ensure that all aspects of the business run smoothly
* Liaising with reception, kitchen and housekeeping departments to have a full overview of the business needs for the shift and covering basic duties within these departments if needed. Completing end of shifts checks including banking and credit card reconciliation.
* Co-ordinate emergency response
* Taking a leading role in any evacuation ensuring the safety of the team members and guests, offering first aid assistance and safe place activation (Ask Angela) and contacting emergency/professional service as appropriate
Qualifications
• Experience of managing a team in a hospitality led venue
• Proven ability to solve problems creatively
• Able to work under own initiative
• Organisational skills to manage your own time and that of the team
This is full time position of 40 hours per week involving shifts across the operational hours of the business (06:00 – 00:00) working 5 days over 7 including weekends & bank holidays.
