Job Description
Reports to
CEO, InnoVent Leasing Limited
Company and Services
InnoVent Leasing Limited commenced trading 3 September 2012. It is predominantly an IT Operating lease and services business which delivers Financial and IT services to mid-tier UK businesses.
The core product is an Operating Lease against IT Capital Equipment, typically end point devices such as Desktops and laptops which are fluidly changing and so need to be remarketed or disposed of more regularly than other classes of IT assets. In the case of Laptops, wear and tear is higher as batteries wear, their mobility causes more rapid wear and software manufacturers change their offerings more regularly in support of the needs of mobile workforces, cyber security threats and new applications.
The key differentiation in InnoVent’s model is to realise a retail return against the Residual Value investment risks taken on IT assets following their initial primary term of use by refurbishing and remarketing the assets at a retail value to a second customer and under a subsequent lease. This lead, seven years’ ago, to InnoVent experimentally creating a product called “2nd Life IT”. This is now a professionally refurbished range of mostly Laptop, desktop and associated mobile device types which are rented to customers together with an InnoVent provided warranty for their secondary period of use.
Over the past six years InnoVent has further expanded its range of services by helping customers validate their purchase costs and the costs of the support services needed to deploy and manage their assets more efficiently. This has led to InnoVent becoming both an IT Reseller (so it could be in contact more intimately with the market for the devices and their costs) and the supplier of Goods for more of lease customers. InnoVent has also started providing the IT services needed leading up to the deployment services required during refreshes as well as IT tracking and management services to help clients improve their management of the installed base of leased assets.
Technology Services
The developing range of services has required InnoVent to expand its technical resources and to build IT, OEM and reseller knowledge both to support customers on their purchases and to handle the increasing amounts of equipment being returned at the end of leases. A team has been developed to process, manage, repair and handle smaller quantities of goods before they are repositioned for resale. The team is also a centre of excellence to understand the sorts of partners needed for larger groups of assets being returned as larger customers were won.
The Role
This will be a Senior management position within InnoVent Leasing Limited. The role will initially focus on execution of sales.
