About the Role:
At M&S Opticians we are committed to providing a complete eye and hearing care service for you and your family. We are looking for a motivated, friendly, and organized individual to join our team as the Assistant Store Manager in our busy practice. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Optical and Hearing Practice whilst delivering industry leading patient care. You will assist the Store Manager in the daily running of a successful optical practice. You will be responsible for the following:
Leadership and Team Management: Lead, motivate, and manage a team of optometrists, hearing aid audiologists and optical assistants to ensure the highest standards of patient care and service delivery.
Customer Journey: Ensure an exceptional customer journey by maintaining a welcoming and professional atmosphere, addressing patient inquiries and concerns, and ensuring timely and accurate service.
Financial Management: Pulling the right levers to drive your store's KPIs, ensuring the store is profitable.
Business Development: Driving brand awareness through in-store marketing activity. Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute business strategies aimed at expanding the practice’s patient base and market presence.
Requirements:
Proven experience in an optical role, preferably as a supervisor or team leader.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and staff.
Solid understanding of practice operations, industry regulations, and business development.
Professional demeanour and a commitment to delivering outstanding patient care.
