About the Role
40 hour working week, which will be 36.5 hours per week plus 3.5 hours contracted overtime at 1.5 hours.
Working pattern will be 4 x 10 hour shifts per week (start and finish times to be confirmed).
Do you have experience of working in a chemistry laboratory or in the converting industry? Do you have experience in delivering high-quality coatings or other battery components ideally from a materials or battery cell manufacturing environment?
We will consider applications for employment on a part-time or other flexible working basis, even where a position is advertised as full-time, unless there are operational or other objective reasons why it is not possible to do so.
About You
WMG, a vibrant, cutting-edge research institution at the University of Warwick, is seeking to appoint a Process Technician to provide technical support for the Energy Innovation Centre (EIC). The EIC includes a £13 million Battery Materials Scale-Up Pilot Line for the development of new battery chemistries from concept through to fully proven traction batteries, in sufficient quantities for industrial scale testing. The Process Technician role will be associated with WMG’s partnership with UKBIC in the delivery and operation of the Flexible Pilot Line (FPL) – hosted at UKBIC.
The role requires relevant experience in a related engineering discipline as you will be responsible for providing support to both internal and external delegates. You should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as a high level of awareness for health and safety. Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles would be an advantage.
