Teaching Personnel are working closely with a school in Fareham who are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Humanities to join their vibrant secondary school in Fareham from September. The school believes Humanities plays a key role in developing well-rounded, culturally aware students. Through studying Geography, History, and Religious Education, students gain valuable insights into different perspectives, developing skills in critical thinking, problem-solving, and ethical reasoning.
Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in one or more Humanities subjects (Geography, History, or Religious Education) across Key Stages 3 and 4.
* Inspire students by creating an engaging and supportive learning environment that fosters curiosity and a passion for Humanities.
* Develop students’ skills in critical thinking, analysis, and evaluation through thought-provoking discussions and activities.
* Monitor student progress, providing regular feedback and assessment to support their academic development.
* Contribute to the development of an enriching and inclusive Humanities curriculum.
* Support extracurricular activities, trips, and events that enhance students’ understanding of Humanities subjects.
* Collaborate with colleagues in the Humanities department and participate in whole-school initiatives.
Minimum Requirements:
* A degree in a Humanities subject (Geography, History, Religious Education, or a related field).
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* A passion for Humanities education and a commitment to student engagement and progress.
* Experience teaching Humanities at secondary school level.
* Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create an inclusive and dynamic learning environment.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills.
