About the role
We are recruiting for a Building Surveyor to join our Asset Management team to help us move forward with our ambitious regeneration and ongoing management of a very diverse portfolio of buildings. As the Senior member of the building team within Asset Management you will be responsible for the ongoing day-to-day maintenance and capital projects for a number of scheduled monuments, Grade 1 listed buildings such as the Fleece Hotel, Grade 2 listed buildings such as the City Museum and Guildhall, shopping centres, retail parks, over 20 car parks, and the new Forum development. You will make a difference by taking responsibility for a diverse portfolio. We are seeking a candidate that can deal with dilapidations claims and liaise with tenants over the requirements in their leases as well as the day-to-day and reactive maintenance of our operational portfolio, project managing capital works and cyclical maintenance with sustainability at the forefront. An understanding of applying and managing external funding streams is important as well as a thorough knowledge of building regulations and health and safety practices.

To be successful you will need excellent organisational skills to allow you to prioritise workloads and ensure our service levels are maintained. We also need your customer-focused nature to help build working relationships with your stakeholders. You’ll also bring your data analysis and manipulation skills to ensure the administrative output is accurate and completed in a timely manner.
We offer flexible / hybrid working and working out of hours may be required on a rota basis to facilitate the needs of the portfolio.
