We need a dedicated and experienced Outreach Tutor to provide tailored academic support to students in Harrow. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with learners who require additional support, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN). With flexible working hours, this position is ideal for those looking to make a meaningful impact on students' education while maintaining a balanced schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver one-to-one tuition in Maths or English, adapting lessons to meet individual learning needs.
- Develop and implement engaging, student-focused lesson plans.
- Support students with SEN, providing an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
- Monitor and assess student progress, offering regular feedback to parents and relevant stakeholders.
- Foster a positive and motivating atmosphere to encourage confidence and academic success.
Requirements:
- Minimum of one year's experience teaching or tutoring Maths or English.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
Desirable:
- Experience working with SEN students.
- PGCE in Maths or English or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, adaptable, and supportive teaching approach.
