Ocean Housing have an exciting opportunity for a Neighbourhood Services Officer to join their team who can provide an efficient, effective and customer focused housing management service to the Company’s tenants and promote and facilitate the involvement of tenants in the management of their homes. As part of your role you will have a geographical patch area where you will cover the following services: Estate and tenancy management Tenancy Checks Estate Inspections Grounds Maintenance and Communal cleaning Contract Monitoring Sign post to Relevant Support and Advice agencies Letting of properties (Garages as requested) as required Repairs logging Tenant consultation and participation Community development Liaison with supported housing staff (internal or external) You will liaise with various external organisations and internal departments to maintain an excellent landlord/tenant relationship. It will in addition be your responsibility to manage anti-social behaviour and neighbour disputes and take appropriate action in conjunction with other agencies. You will be educated to A Level Grade A-C or equivalent level 3 qualification. It is essential that you have experience of social housing management, dealing with clients in stressful situations and delivering face to face customer service. You will have good administrative and organisational skills and have experience of effectively dealing with difficult and challenging situations along with demonstrating patience, diplomacy and having the ability to show empathy for customers whilst balancing the needs of the business. The role requires you to be able to transport yourself to various locations and a Standard DBS check is required.
