Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting experienced Qualified Social Workers for a busy Child Protection team based in North East Lincolnshire. This role is part of our Child Assess and Safeguarding Service, located at our new office in Grimsby Town Centre. The successful candidate will be required to work in the office for a minimum of 2-3 days per week alongside our excellent team.
Primary Responsibilities as a Child Protection Social Worker:
* Case Management: Conduct assessments and investigations related to child protection cases, develop and implement care plans for children and families, collaborate with other professionals, including parents, social workers, and legal representatives, and attend court hearings and provide evidence when necessary.
* Safeguarding: Maintain a child-centered approach, ensuring the welfare and safety of every child, apply knowledge of safeguarding procedures and regulations, and identify risks and take appropriate actions to protect children from harm.
* Assessment and Reporting: Assess family dynamics, risk factors, and protective factors, write clear and concise reports, including assessments, case notes, and court reports, and participate in multi-agency meetings and contribute to child protection plans.
* Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues, including other social workers, health professionals, and educators, liaise with external agencies, such as police, schools, and health services, and provide support and guidance to foster carers and adoptive families.
* Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation, policies, and best practices, attend training sessions and continuous professional development opportunities, and uphold professional standards and adhere to the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration requirements.
Skills and Attributes:
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
* Strong knowledge of fostering regulations, childcare law, and safeguarding issues
Qualifications:
* Social Work England registration
* Eligibility to work in the UK
* Full UK license
* Post-qualified experience
* Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
