Business Development Manager required for a Logistics company in Greater Manchester. This role will focus on road freight forwarding and external sales, targeting companies looking for EU and UK road freight.
Salary: £45-55k plus bonus. The role includes a company car, car allowance, or electric car scheme, along with 26 days holiday plus bank holidays.
The Role
We are looking for a Business Development Manager to manage a patch for road freight for UK and EU transits. Responsibilities include:
1. Approaching new businesses
2. Arranging calls, quotes, and face-to-face meetings
3. Securing new business and increasing repeat business from one-off bookings to regular clients
4. Performing all standard business development duties
Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
1. At least 3 years of experience in EU road freight sales
2. Excellent communication skills
3. A proven ability to close sales
Location: Manchester (office or home-based / field-based meetings in Greater Manchester)
