Live In Valet/Dog Handler Job Description Marcilly Recruitment’s client, an UHNW couple in Chelsea, is seeking a professional and energetic Valet/Dog Handler to work as part of a team. This is a live-in role where a separate apartment is provided. The working week and days are flexible as there will be a lot of free time intermittently. The relevant candidate must be open and flexible to travel as the principals travel a lot (up to 6 months per year within the US), so you will be required to travel with them during these periods. Salary: £60K-£70K, negotiable Benefits: annual discretionary bonus (very generous principals); pension – employed through PAYE Start date: ideally ASAP, but happy to wait a notice for the right person Location: Chelsea Hours : Standard working hours but the candidate must be flexible and willing to adapt to occasional changes in days and hours. They are a generous couple who look after their staff and have good staff retention rates as a result. They are looking for a well-presented and discreet individual, excellent attention to detail is expected at all times in this semi-formal household with exceptionally high standards. Good English and communication skills are vital. The dogs are well trained, but sometimes still require some behavioural management as they are still very young. Valet/ Dog Handler Responsibilities: Dog handling/caring/walking/feeding for three large breed dogs (puppies) Travelling up to 6 months of the year, globally Part of a 2-man team, with time off by rota Must be able to drive worldwide Occasional ad-hoc jobs for the principals Flexibility is key The successful Valet/Dog Handler must have previous experience working with dogs and the ability to train and manage behaviour if needed. They must be an animal lover who will be passionate about looking after the couple’s dogs like they are their own. The ideal Valet/Dog Handler will also have prior experience of working in an UHNW household.
