IT Team – Work at Beach, the Lake and the Island
We’re
looking for a skilled and adaptable IT Technician to join our growing
team. While our roots are in Cornwall, we now have locations across the
UK, from the southernmost coast to the islands off Scotland.
This role
offers a dynamic mix of office-based service desk and on-site work, so
flexibility is essential. A typical day could see you working from our head
office in Newquay to support at local venue or even travelling to
Scotland to help on site. If you thrive in a fast-paced,
ever-changing environment, this could be the perfect opportunity for
you.
What
You’ll Be Doing:
* Monitoring, maintaining, and
supporting the stability, security, and integrity of our IT
infrastructure and networks.
* Ensuring business-critical
data is secure and backed up according to company policies.
* Providing IT support and
guidance across all departments to ensure systems meet our team’s
needs.
* Managing IT and telecommunications
systems.
* Assisting with cabling,
infrastructure maintenance, and troubleshooting.
* Being part of a weekday IT
support team, with scheduled on-call weekend coverage.
What
We’re Looking For:
* Logical thinking with strong
problem-solving and analytical skills backed up with the ability to explain
technical concepts in simple terms.
* Experience working with Windows
Servers, Linux Ubuntu, Meraki and Unifi infrastructure, Microsoft Azure
cloud platforms, VoIP telephone systems and IT security.
* Strong communication,
adaptability, teamwork, problem-solving skills.
* 3 years experience in the
support environment and/or ITIL, CompTIA (A+, Network+), CCNA, MS-900,
AZ-900.
* A proactive approach to staying
up to date with the latest advancements in technology and hostile
risks.
* Flexibility to travel to various UK locations, when
required.

What
You’ll Need:
* Proof that you have the right
to work in the UK.
* A full UK driving licence
and access to a vehicle.
* A reliable personal internet
connection, for remote on-call troubleshooting and emergency
support.
* Must be based in Cornwall
and available for a short notice start.
* Ability to work away from
home but with travel and expenses covered.
* Willingness to provide on-call
weekend support remotely or work from the office (10:00-14:00 Saturday
and Sunday).
