Role Summary Takes full responsibility for the definition, approach, facilitation and satisfactory completion of medium-scale projects. Provides effective leadership to the project team. Adopts appropriate project management methods and tools. Manages the change control process and assesses and manages risks. Ensures that realistic project plans are maintained and delivers regular and accurate communication to stakeholders. Ensures project and product quality reviews occur on schedule and according to procedure. Ensures that project deliverables are completed within agreed cost, timescale and resource budgets, and are formally accepted, by appropriate stakeholders. Monitors costs, times, quality and resources used and takes action where performance deviates from agreed tolerances. Management of IT projects, typically involving the development and implementation of IT toolsets and related business processes to meet identified business needs, acquiring and utilising the necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost, timescales and quality. Engages and coordinates with subject matter experts to resolve issues as they relate to the projects. Analyses, designs, plans executes and evaluates work to time, cost and quality targets. Demonstrates impactful communications skills (oral, written, and presentation) in both formal and informal settings, articulating ideas to audiences. Contributes to reviews and audits of project and programme management to ensure conformance to standards. Education / Experience At Least Two Of (or Equivalent) Relevant IT degree or business degree, experience in consultancy or people management position. Relevant vocational qualification or equivalent experience e.g. HNC / Prince 2 Foundation or practitioner / Computer Science Degree/MSP foundation or practitioner. 3-5 years’ experience of working in a busy IT Department, or other relevant work experience.
