Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Restaurant Manager to oversee our restaurant. The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the restaurant, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the culinary industry and possess excellent leadership and organizational skills.
Duties
1. Oversee daily operations of the restaurant, including supervising staff, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
2. Train and mentor staff members to deliver exceptional customer service and maintain a positive work environment.
3. Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue and improve overall restaurant performance.
4. Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure consistency and customer satisfaction.
5. Collaborate with the kitchen staff to create and update menus, considering customer preferences, dietary restrictions, and seasonal ingredients.
6. Handle customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner, striving to resolve issues promptly and effectively.
7. Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the restaurant, including dining areas, restrooms, and kitchen facilities.
Experience
1. Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the food service industry.
2. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
3. Culinary background or experience in a hotel or hospitality setting is preferred.
4. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
5. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
6. Proficient in computer systems used for inventory management, scheduling, and point-of-sale operations.
Skills
1. Food safety expertise to ensure compliance with health codes and regulations.
2. Strong leadership skills to effectively manage a team of restaurant staff members.
3. Knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation methods.
4. Familiarity with restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house procedures.
5. Ability to handle high-pressure situations while maintaining professionalism.
