About the role of a MEP Commercial Manager:
As the MEP Commercial Manager, you will be expected to manage a team of MEP commercial staff in self-delivering several projects within the Commercial and Residential sectors in the Northern Home Counties. The role will encompass both work winning and the delivery of live projects whilst providing strong functional leadership, management, governance, and excellence for all commercial activities pre and post contract, across a portfolio of projects.
Responsibilities for MEP Commercial Manager
- Be a Senior member of a team of around 12 commercial staff members
- Responsible for 7-8 live projects with values ranging from £12m to £50 M&E
- Actively engage with all internal and external stakeholders and ensure that the commercial function within the business unit effectively supports the other functions such as, Design, Operations and Pre-Construction as required
- Drive clear strategy on commercial delivery, customer engagement and repeat business whilst managing, training, and developing the wider Commercial Teams.
- Agree project profit plans and Stretch profit plans and monitor throughout the procurement and construction process.
Requirements for MEP Commercial Manager
- Experience of managing multiple projects
- extensive knowledge of working NEC and JCT type contracts
- Strong commercial background
- Qualification in either Building Services or Quantity Surveying
